PTH Assembly Operatives

Permanent position – 39 Hours per week

 

We have opportunities for PCB Assembly Operatives. These positions will add to our existing, highly skilled team, responsible for the assembly of high technology PCBs populated with both SMD and PTH components. We manufacture in small batch sizes which keeps the job varied and interesting. These additional positions within the manufacturing team have arisen due to continued increase in demand from our existing customers and from winning new business in a very competitive marketplace.

 

Key job responsibilities:

  • Placement of conventional (PTH) components into printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Hand soldering to J-Std (training will be provided).
  • Loading PCBs into a selective soldering machine.
  • Occasional rework and PCB modification.

 

 

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of PCB assembly is not essential but will help if you have any, as will soldering skills using handheld soldering irons, component recognition and an acute attention to detail.
  • The position will require the ability to read and understand production documentation including bills of materials, basic assembly drawings and written work process instructions
  • Experience of working in an area handling static sensitive electronic (ESD) components and assemblies would be ideal.
  • Any previous experience in a batch-manufacturing environment.
  • Working in a multi-product, mixed manufacturing environment.
  • Light assembly of products.
