PCB Quality Inspector

Permanent position – 39 Hours per week

 

We have opportunities for PCB Assembly Inspectors. These positions will add to our existing, highly skilled team, responsible for the checking the quality of assembled high technology PCBs populated with both SMD and PTH components and for the quality of finished products. Job batches are small which keeps the role varied and interesting. Full training will be provided on a range of automated optical inspection and x-ray equipment used in our clean, modern manufacturing areas. These additional positions within the Quality team have arisen due to continued increase in demand from our existing customers and from winning new business in a very competitive marketplace.

 

Key job responsibilities:

  • Inspection of assembled and part assembled printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Inspection to IPC-610 Std (training will be provided).
  • Inspection of bare boards prior to manufacturing.
  • Detailed inspection of first off builds using customer and engineering documentation.
  • Occasional inspection of reworked and PCB modifications.

 

 

Skills and experience (preferred though not essential):

  • Previous experience of inspecting PCB assemblies to IPC -610 standard is preferred, although training will be given.
  • The position will require the ability to read and understand production documentation including bills of materials, basic assembly drawings and device specifications.
  • Experience of working in an ESD area.
  • Experience of using automated inspection tools such as AOI or x-ray systems.
  • Any previous experience in a batch-manufacturing and light assembly environment.
  • Working in a multi-product, mixed manufacturing environment.
